What we collect:

We may collect the following information:

  • Name, Postal address, Telephone numbers and Email address.
  • The Name, Postal address, Telephone numbers and Email address of your nominated secondary contact in case of an emergency.
  • The Name and contact details of your Cat/Dogs registered veterinarian and details of any    insurance relating to your Cat/Dog.

What we do with the information we gather:

We require this information to ensure we comply with our responsibilities under the Animal Welfare Act (Licensing of Activities involving Animals) (England) (Regulation 2018) when caring for you Cat/ or Dog.

Under these regulations we may be required to share your information with trusted outside agencies in order to enable us to comply with our legal obligations, such as when liaising with our Local Licensing Authority.

We will not provide your information to any third party without your express permission, with the exception of a Vet, your nominated secondary contact, your or our Insurance company in the event of an emergency.  

Internal record keeping. We may use the information to improve our services and will use it to keep your record up to date.

How we protect your information:

We will not share your personal information for marketing purposes with companies outside Redgates Boarding Kennels and cattery.

Any personal information we are required to hold under the Animal welfare act will be added to our computer Data base. We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of the personal data we hold:

  • Computer systems are protected by up-to-date security software, to defend against viruses, spyware and malware.
  • We use industry standard security methods and mechanisms such as Firewalls, intrusion monitoring and the use of strong passwords.
  • We run regular vulnerability scans to identify any emerging threats and make sure we address any vulnerabilities identified.
  • Electronic records are Backed up regularly and the devices are stored separately and securely with access limited to the partners.
  • Staff will be trained to respect and care for customer data according to the General Data Protection Regulation.

For all data we hold within paper documents: Records will be kept in good order, appropriately filed and kept securely. Accessible to trained authorised staff only. Annual record reviews are made to ensure only necessary records are retained.

Period data is stored, how to request amendment or deletion of your personal Data:

Under the Animal Welfare Act (Licensing of Activities involving Animals) (England) Regulations 2018. We are legally required to retain the information for a minimum of three years.

After this legal period is over you may withdraw your consent for us to hold your data, your data will then be anonymised, deleted or destroyed.

Each time your pet is boarded with us you will be provided the opportunity to check and amend your personal information we hold on our Data base.

You have the right to request a copy of the information we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal data, please email or write to us at the address provided within this policy.

We want to make sure that your personal data is accurate and up to date. You may ask us to correct or remove information you believe to be inaccurate.

Changes to our Privacy Policy:

We regularly review our privacy policy, any updates to this policy will be placed on this page of our website.
